Account Issues
To create an account on UniBite:
- Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner of the website
- Enter your MIU email address (must end with @miuegypt.edu.eg)
- Create a password and fill in your details
- Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox
- Complete your profile by adding your student/faculty ID and preferences
You can also sign up using your Google account linked to your MIU email.
If you're having trouble logging in:
- Make sure you're using the correct email address (your MIU email)
- Check that you're entering the correct password
- Try resetting your password by clicking "Forgot password?" on the login page
- Ensure your account has been verified by checking your email
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again
If you still can't log in, please contact our support team for assistance.
To reset your password:
- Go to the login page
- Click on "Forgot password?" below the password field
- Enter your MIU email address
- Check your email for a password reset link
- Click the link and follow the instructions to create a new password
The reset link is valid for 24 hours. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or request another reset link.
Ordering Help
Placing an order on UniBite is easy:
- Log in to your UniBite account
- Browse restaurants or search for specific items
- Select the items you want to order
- Add items to your cart
- Review your order and proceed to checkout
- Select your payment method
- Confirm your order
You'll receive a confirmation notification and can track your order status in real-time.
UniBite accepts the following payment methods:
- Student Meal Plan
- Campus Cash
- Cash on pickup
We're working on adding more payment options in the future, including credit/debit cards and mobile payment solutions.
You can track your order in real-time:
- Log in to your UniBite account
- Go to "My Orders" in your account dashboard
- Select the order you want to track
- View the current status of your order
You'll also receive notifications when your order is confirmed, being prepared, and ready for pickup.
You can cancel or modify your order under certain conditions:
- Orders can be cancelled within 5 minutes of placement
- Once preparation begins, orders cannot be cancelled
- Contact the restaurant directly for urgent modifications
- Refunds will be processed according to your payment method
To cancel an order, go to "My Orders" and click "Cancel Order" if the option is available.
Technical Support
If you're experiencing issues with the app:
- Make sure you have the latest version installed
- Try closing and reopening the app
- Check your internet connection
- Clear the app cache in your device settings
- Restart your device
If the problem persists, please contact our support team with details about the issue and your device information.
We appreciate your help in improving UniBite! To report a bug:
- Go to your account settings
- Select "Report a Problem"
- Choose "Bug Report" from the options
- Describe the issue in detail, including what you were doing when it occurred
- If possible, include screenshots or screen recordings
- Submit the report
Our development team will investigate the issue and work on a fix as soon as possible.
To update the UniBite app:
For iOS devices:
- Open the App Store
- Tap on your profile icon in the top right
- Scroll down to see pending updates
- Find UniBite and tap "Update"
For Android devices:
- Open the Google Play Store
- Tap the menu icon and select "My apps & games"
- Find UniBite in the list and tap "Update"
You can also enable automatic updates in your device settings to always have the latest version.
If the UniBite website is loading slowly:
- Check your internet connection speed
- Try refreshing the page (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R)
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Disable browser extensions temporarily
- Try using a different browser
- Check if other websites are loading normally
If the issue persists, it might be due to high traffic. Please try again in a few minutes or contact support.
General Questions
UniBite is a campus food ordering platform designed specifically for the MIU community. It allows students, faculty, and staff to:
- Browse and order from campus restaurants and cafeterias
- Pay using their meal plans or campus cash
- Track orders in real-time
- Skip lines by pre-ordering food
- Discover new dining options on campus
Our goal is to make campus dining more convenient and accessible for everyone.
UniBite operates according to campus restaurant hours:
- Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Individual restaurant hours may vary. Check each restaurant's page for specific operating hours. During exam periods and holidays, hours may be extended or reduced.
Minimum order requirements vary by restaurant:
- Most campus cafeterias have no minimum order
- Some specialty restaurants may require a minimum of 20-30 EGP
- Group orders may have different minimums
The minimum order amount (if any) will be clearly displayed on each restaurant's page before you place your order.
